We are changing the baby's name. I tried Madelynn Malia, our two favorite names, hoping it would grow on me. It never did. So, we went back to the drawing board. We decided on Malia and have had a few different middle names. We've finally chosen
Malia Mae.
Hopefully this will be the last time we change it! This entire naming process has been more difficult for us than we anticipated. Thank you for all of your comments and suggestions!

Now we just need to have the birth certificate and social security card changed. I'll let you all know how that goes.

Melissa's daughter is Macey Mae! I think Malia Mae is beautiful...I hope it is not too complicated to change it.....
I hope it isn't too difficult to officially change it. Right before our baby was born my husband read an article about baby naming remorse. Then a friend of mine asked if they should change their baby's name... this baby was much older than Malia. Then, when we named our baby Linus, no one in our family believed we weren't joking and my brother offered to pay to have it changed. But WE liked it. Hope it goes smoothly for you and that Malia is a better fit. We had a really hard time naming our third kid as well.

I love it! Malia Mae is beautiful! Good luck with the process.
it is a truly beautiful name. My parents struggled to come up with mine. They called me Mary Ellen for about three days (after my father's grandmother) but it didn't fit. I'm SOOOO glad they changed it.
