This week the kids looked at Ansel Adams photographs and then went around our area taking pictures. Even though He did black and white photography when I went to remove the color from their pictures there was a revolt. So, here is a sampling.

I had already decided to do Ansel Adams for our Artist in November. Great minds think alike. I know Sophie is going to love getting to take lots of photos. I am going to let her have our old digital camera to snap as many pictures as the card will hold. It will be a fun study I am sure. We are going to learn more about photography and it's history as well. I saw a video at the library in the "How things works" series about photography. I will need to put that one on hold I think.
that's a great idea for the video. i'll have to look and see if they have it here. i think we're going to have to study him for a few more weeks, because it would be so fun to go down by the rapids and take more pictures! good luck with your study!
