Paddle to the Sea

This week we started reading, "Paddle to the Sea" by Holling C. Holling. It'a about a toy canoe that begins a journey to the Atlantic Ocean from the snow in Canada. The snow melts and it goes into a creek, then a beaver pond, and then a river. So to celebrate the beaver pond idea, we went to our local pond on a hike to find the beaver dam. But after over a mile, the kids' legs were tired and we headed back. Better luck next time. But we did see dragon flies, butterflies, grey squirrels, big ants frogs, and the Red-Bellied Woodpecker! Gorgeous!!!

Pajama Party

Yesterday we had a good time. After Mark left for work and the kids were dressed we decided to get pajamas on again and have a pajama party. Jeffrey and Brooklynn created the agenda. So from 8-noon we played the Wii, read books, colored, ate bananna bread, and watched shows on nickjr.com It was a fun little party.

Keeping busy

We've been keeping busy, going on nature walks, the children's museum, and primary. This week we joined an LDS homeschool co-op. I think it's going to be a fun school year! We're signing up for a homeschool soccer league soon.

Happy 3 months Malia!

Still a ray of sunshine!!!

Unhitched

After riding in the Family Fun-mobile for 3714 miles we finally unhitched the trailer! YES, we have arrived!

We're trying to get settled in. It has taken 2 weeks for us to finally get internet and phone service.I felt lost and in the dark-ages without them. Now I can slowly going back through the blog and adding pictures of our trip.

So far, we've been out shopping- found the important stores (Costco, Target, and Lowes). We've found the library, several parks, and the children's museum. And of course, we found our ward at church and LOVE IT!!
